The Civilian Conservation Corporation was created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in March, 1933. Our company puts young men to work on environmental maintenance. Our men plant trees, build canals, make wildlife shelters, stock rivers with fish, restore battlegrounds, and clear beaches. History.com Staff. "Civilian Conservation Corps." History.com. Our Purpose
Our corporation wants to put all young men to work, improving not only the work force of the common people, but also helps the national parks. We want to enhance the skills of all men, allowing them to grow as employees and people, while keeping our country clean and beautiful. "American Experience: TV's Most-watched History Series." PBS. Where We Are
This is a map of all Civilian Conservation Corporation Camps in America between 1934-1942.
Our company has camps spread throughout America, trying to improve the state grounds, no matter what type they are. With so many camps, more workers are being hired, about 200 workers at every camp. How We Achieve Goals
The corporation would establish camps for men (between the ages of 18-25) to ensure jobs(from the Department of Labor), decrease the amount of inner-city criminals, educate them, and feed them. This program would enlist over 200,000 jobs to unemployed men. Not only that, young adults would be disciplined and taken away from criminal influences. It provides the chance to learn subjects including literature and welding. To help the men financially, we give about $35, making workers help their families by sending back $25 home each paycheck.
